LEO'S PICKS RIGHT NOW
These are Leo's choices—not a popularity contest. Every card explains the music, the place and why it made the list.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTED BAND
Kou Su's band · 70s, 80s and 90s rock
Sat, Aug 15 · 3–5 PM
David Bowie tribute · Bowie classics and glam-rock sing-alongs
Sousa Bandshell, Port Washington Public Library · 1 Library Dr, Port Washington, NY 11050
Best Leo match today: a focused catalog of recognizable David Bowie songs, all ages, and a free library concert setting.
Sat, Aug 15 · 8 PM
All About Joel feat. David Clark · Billy Joel tribute
John J. Burns Park · 4990 Merrick Rd, Massapequa Park, NY
Free, close to home and built on recognizable Billy Joel sing-alongs; a strong familiar-song choice, though less New Wave than #1.
Sat, Aug 15 · 8–11 PM
Alt-Rock Revolution · Alternative-rock cover set
South Shore Craft Brewery · 3505 Hampton Rd, Oceanside, NY
The verified alt-rock billing matches Leo's alternative/grunge preference; no exact song list was published, so repertoire remains unconfirmed.
Sat, Aug 15 · 8 PM
The Lucky Stiffs · Multi-genre party-rock covers
Prohibition · 109 Front St, Massapequa Park, NY
The band describes itself as an all-genre party-rock cover act: promising for energy and familiarity, but no exact songs were posted.
Sat, Aug 15 · 9 PM
2000s dance party · 2000s pop and dance nostalgia
Mulcahy's · 3232 Railroad Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793
A high-energy 2000s dance lane. It misses Leo's strongest 1980s/New Wave preference but beats country or acoustic roots for party fit.
Sat, Aug 15 · 6:30 PM
Hail The Sun · Post-hardcore / progressive rock
AMH · 198 Broadway, Amityville, NY 11701
Guitar-driven and energetic, fitting Leo's harder-rock side, but this is original post-hardcore rather than familiar cover sing-alongs.
Sat, Aug 15 · 7:15 PM
O El Amor and Disco Goya · New Wave, disco and Latin party mix
Salt Shack · 100 Ocean Pkwy, Babylon, NY 11702
About #7 for Leo right now. They play some New Wave and good familiar songs, but stretches of less-familiar material keep them below the leaders. They are getting better, and Salt Shack's open-air beach setting gives this show a major summer bonus.
Sat, Aug 15 · 1 PM
Groove Union · Live party band; exact repertoire unconfirmed
Bayside Clam Bar · 99 Adelaide Ave, East Moriches, NY 11940
A waterfront live-band lead from Ira's List. It stays low because no confirmed songs or artist examples were visible.
Sat, Aug 15 · 12–6 PM
Project Vibe + DJ Deano · Reggae, Latin and island party music
RUMBA Cove · 43 Canoe Place Rd, Hampton Bays, NY 11946
Excellent waterfront/social atmosphere and dance energy, but the island/Latin repertoire is only a moderate match for Leo's taste.
Sat, Aug 15 · 6 PM
The Town And Country Band · Modern country and classic Southern rock
The Villager · 308 Main St, Farmingdale, NY 11735
The event confirms Zac Brown and Morgan Wallen plus Southern rock. The energy is solid, but generic country is deliberately downranked.
Sat, Aug 15 · 7–11 PM
Adult boat-party social · DJ-led dance cruise with freestyle billing
Freeport Charter Boats · 540 Guy Lombardo Ave, Freeport, NY 11520
A strong mingle-and-dance format, but freestyle is a Leo mismatch; rank it for the social setting, not the soundtrack.
Sat, Aug 15 · 7:30 PM
Ages 39+ social lead · Hosted dating rotations
Vintage 25 at Fox Hollow · 7755 Jericho Tpke, Woodbury, NY 11797
Directly matches Leo's request for adult 39+ social options. Registration terms were not visible in the Facebook lead and need checking.
Sat, Aug 15 · 11 AM–6 PM
Food and history festival · Long Island oysters, colonial games and activities
Harborfront Park · 101A E Broadway, Port Jefferson, NY
A relaxed daytime social outing with local food and waterfront atmosphere; the official event says there is something for everyone.
Sat, Aug 15 · 11 AM
Classical piano and violin · Classical instrumental recital
Suffolk County Historical Society · 300 W Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901
A cultured seated option. Limited seating and phone reservation are noted; the softer classical program is not a core Leo music fit.
Sat, Aug 15 · 9 PM
DJ Jamir · Latin dance night; exact songs unconfirmed
143 N Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY
A late dance-floor option close to home. No repertoire or access terms were visible, so it stays conditional.
Sat, Aug 15 · activities from 1 PM
Town of Babylon family day · Games, beach activities, Somethin' Fresh at 7 PM and fireworks at dusk
Overlook Beach · Ocean Pkwy, Babylon, NY 11702
Best Tom/Ella lane. A 2026 Town beach permit is required; the freestyle/R&B band is not the reason LeoBot recommends it.
Sat, Aug 15 · from 10 AM
Polish Town Civic Association · Two-day cultural fair and festival
Polish Town USA · 432 Pulaski St, Riverhead, NY 11901
A family-friendly cultural outing with food and festival atmosphere. Saturday programming is confirmed; individual entertainment times were not published.
Sat, Aug 15 · 12–7 PM
Andy Falco's Bluegrass Laboratory and more · Traditional bluegrass, Americana and acoustic roots
Tanner Park · Kerrigan Rd, Copiague, NY 11726
Very close to Leo for a lawn-chair afternoon. The acoustic country-adjacent sound is outside the adult top 10; admission is $20 and parking is free.
Sat, Aug 15 · 2 PM
Railroad Museum of Long Island · Historical slideshow and discussion
300 W Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901
Historian Dr. Paul J. Carr discusses the Suffolk County Agricultural Society's Riverhead fairs; best for history-curious family members.
Sat, Aug 15 · 11 AM–2 PM
American Allman / Skynyrd tribute · Allman Brothers and Lynyrd-style Southern rock
Walmart Centereach lot · 161 Centereach Mall, Centereach, NY
A daytime tribute with recognizable Southern-rock touchstones. Guitar-driven but country-adjacent, so it sits below the other family outings.

I love "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond
Queens is a great choice. I love them
Can you please expand more on the free activities? What's exactly in each one of them?
Lego connect seems like a fun thing to take to Tom. He loves Lego
Please don't recommend any sports events like the baseball one
As for the additional activities, emphasize ones for adults 39+ age
Also, for each activity, write a few lines on what it is and also the address
The Queens tribute. I cannot find it on the website. Please place a direct link to it.
LeoBot update 🤖 I re-ranked today’s list after checking Ira’s List—adult music first, no freestyle and no kid activities. 1️⃣ Rock of 80s at Salt Shack, 7 PM: 80s rock, hair-band anthems and dance hits—the strongest local match. 2️⃣ Alive After Five, downtown Patchogue, 5–9 PM: a big multi-stage street festival; The 90’s Band is listed, with 90s alternative, pop, grunge and rock. 3️⃣ Thursday Night Live outside Mulcahy’s: guitar-led live music plus DJ Doris; the exact repertoire still needs confirmation. Thanks for the correction—this is the standard LeoBot should use.
You did a good job, Leobot, this time! I definitely love the '90s band. The one in Solchak looks great with the '80s rock, and also guys with guitars outside of the Malkys looks great. As for adult options, I don't like baseball, so you can remove number two. Number one is a copy of the band of number two and the third best band, so no duplicates. As for the comedy, that looks fine. I actually want to try Governor's Comedy Club, but you need to say what show is there.
